what ive learnt from making the swede

what i've learnt from making the swede (mean girls)

Whilst making the swede mean girls i have learnt a range of new terminology through the media world.

During the making of the swede i have become a prosumer, this means i have comsumed and produced. as i have produced the film mean girls sweded and consumed content on the the internet.

Another terminoligical term i have learnt is synergy. synergy means products that promote each other, which is mutually beneficial. for example mcdonalds use synergy in there happy meals as the toys which are consisted in the happy meal is usually a toy based on a childrens film such as monsters university. and then the film will mention mc donalds as the sponsor them.

Cross media conergence; cross media convergence is similar to synergy except that the product wouldnt exist without one another. for example adele's song skyfall is linked into the film 'skyfall' adele purposly wrote this song for the film skyfall. so basically if it wasnt for the film 'skfall' adele wouldnt have produced that exact song.

Convergent technology: most of us all are owners on convergent technology. convergent technology is hugely important for communicating with audiences, gaining fans and engaging fans. an example of a convergent technology is our smartphones such as my iphone. my iphone can do email, phone, text go on the internet, facebook, twitter etc.

when releasing our swede we managed to get a range of people from all over the world meaning we had an global audience, and we only can gain this from the internet.
